Change Starri back

This game is the entire reason I pay for Nex. The other games are essentially perks and Starri is my sole interest. The game update as of roughly 8/26/26 has ruined the game. The songs that were removed are disappointing but understandable. Contracts end, prices change, whatever, music isn't free we get it. BUT the overhaul from great game UI to whatever this garbage can kindergarten interface is I'm like actually distraught. I've never been more disappointed or dissatisfied In my entire life. I'm actually heart broken. Something I genuinely loved just died and I'm grieving. If it can be revived, you'll have a life long customer. If not, we're done. You're choice.

New Starri Update

Hi Nex Playground team! Our family very disappointed with the Starri update. The graphics are confusing and overstimulating. Starri was one of the only reasons my family loved Playground. We have tried changing the settings, and the game isn’t the same. The AI chatbot provided suggestions, and none of them worked. Please bring back the old Starri!

Upgrade for adults

Need to add games like a dungeon crawler for older kids and adults. This game system has alot of potential. Don't waste it on all baby games. Make a section for 18+ all blood and gore. Try one game and if you dont hit a million downloads in a month kill it, but i guarantee you it will be a major hit. It could even replicate the original doom series on pc.

We are so disappointed with the Starri update, it was so much better the original way it’s so overstimulating and hard to read. It actually hurts my eyes and it looks so much like anime. We literally kept our play pass subscription for starri and it was the best game and now it is a horrible experience. We really want the ability to change it back to the way that it was. And if not, we probably will not re-up our play pass subscription.

Starri update and Barbie dance game… can’t play either now

I had originally wanted to come on here to ask if the Barbie game could no longer have the screen jumping/moving around as you are trying to follow the dancer. It makes me nauseous and I just can’t play it with all that movement. And I would really like to be able to play it. And now the irony is that the Starri app (while not the exact same) now has a bunch of random movement on the top the bottom sides and then of course the whole crowds on the side and now yet again it makes me nauseous with all that movement going on and can’t play it. Can they be fixed please?

Starri 2.0

I have to say again, we are so disappointed with the new update. To a new player with no context, I could see the entertainment. But for those of us who have been playing it is an outrage. Calibration issues, insane lag, and an added storyline? Our entire family refuses to play the game insisting “it’s not the same”. We understand you spent the last year building this version from the ground up, so this is my request: add a Starri 1.0 as a mode you can switch too and get the best of both worlds! Thank you to whoever is reading this, with respect, The Zinn family (Starri lovers)

Starri update

I see what you were trying to do with the update, and over all it is nice. If the game would have started there it would have been fine, and I am sure people going forward will love it. Though, for those that have already been playing and loving this game, it is completely different from the original. The gameplay does not feel the same at all. Could you please add the option to also play the original for us OGs, even if it is hidden in the settings? Thank you! As for a bug fix, there is a weird lag that was not in the original. It is just not as fluid feeling on slash mode.

Starri game update is really bad

This used to be the only game they would play. What they are saying is that everything about it is terrible now. So bad they don't want to play it at all. It's so bad they'd rather play Bluey, which they wouldn't touch before because it was too childish. But they seem to enjoy now due to updated games. The new body detection algorithm requires standing too close and is harder to control. The new visuals are all ugly and I agree with them looks like throwbacks to 90s era pixel games rather than the flashy arcade games. The avatars are now uglier too, and they say they didn't even like the skins anyways. It's bad enough that I think you should just roll it back to 1.0 and discard this new version.

"Starri is Ruined Forever and I will Never Play Nex Again," my daughter says with tears.

Hi Starri Team: My daughter is heartbroken. After months waiting for Nex for her 11th birthday JUST so she could play Starri, she had the console of her dreams for 1.5 weeks until you updated Starri. She told me with tears running down her face that her stats had been wiped, the Avatar she saw herself as was gone, and the game was no long immersive as the music; instead it had a loud screaming stage intro you can't skip. I was able to find her missing stats, however, she still had tears in her eyes and would not be comforted. ( I made her her favorite foods and let her watch television, instead). She said ‘Starri is ruined forever!’ Her favorite avatar, which was an identity in the immersive world she saw herself in, was gone (true) and the lengthy intro with walking out on to stage with loud screaming fans and applause totally ruined the classic world of BEING the instrument (also true and relatable). Furthermore, she has a much harder time reaching the far left and far right buttons (can you imagine how frustrating)? She says she will never play Nex again (I hope that's not true; it was her birthday present). Sadly, it was her big present, and she's only had it for less than two weeks. Too bad we didn't get her BeatSabre! I'm very sad as a parent. Please bring the option to toggle back to Classic Starri and away from the concert storyline experience, which feels bloated, like it’s missing the point, has less options, and deeply ruined Nex for her.

Just got the updated starri...

And unfortunately it ruined it a bit for me. My family has been playing it everyday since we got nex playground and it was just fine the way it was. I understand software needs an update every once in a while, old things become hard to maintain. But to me it would have just been better if you kept starri 1.0 the way it was and released starri 2.0 alongside with it and allowed people to get used to it; or had some setting that would allow the old UX. At the risk of sounding very dramatic, but today you have literally made my daughter cry.
