My children are literally crying
We just updated to Starri 2.0 and let’s just say that it has not gone well. We thought it’d be cool based on the description, it is not. My eldest who loves the game is staunchly refusing to play it now. I kid you not she started crying because she was so sad and disappointed. I am also a huge fan of the game and have noticed that the notes are hitting different. Songs where I easily hit all the notes I am now missing or not getting them perfectly anymore. She hates the avatars, the overall background update. She prefers the simplicity of Starri 1.0. Bring it back, or at least give us the option.

Starri 2.0 is awful
Please for the love of its creators bring back the original version. If pride is why you won’t, throw it out the window. Give the option and based on time played even make it a community vote!

Feedback on Starri 2.0
I’m joining the chorus of criticisms of the new version of Starri. The original version was my kids’ favorite game on the Playground. They excitedly tried the new version today, said the game was now their least favorite game, and both stormed out of the room to deal with the frustration of losing their favorite game. They were very disappointed to learn this is a permanent change, rather than a temporary event. Our family would also welcome bringing back the old Starri.

Urgent Feedback: Starri 2.0 Visual and Gameplay Issues
I am writing to share my deep disappointment with the recent Starri 2.0 update. I have historically thoroughly enjoyed playing Starri and have a yearly subscription to Nex Playground, but the recent overhaul to the avatars and visuals has completely ruined the experience for me. The new animations and visuals are unbearable, overstimulating, and no longer user-friendly. Furthermore, the changes have impacted gameplay mechanics to the point where songs are nearly impossible to play. Nex Playground took a perfect game and made it unplayable. I strongly urge the development team to either revert to the previous version or introduce a legacy setting that allows players to use the original Starri 1.0 interface, avatars, and gameplay mechanics. Until these issues are addressed, I will no longer be using the console regularly and am seriously considering canceling my annual subscription and selling my device.

Starri update
I wanted to reach out and share my feedback as it relates to the update of Starri. My daughter loved the original version and would spend a lot of time getting her energy out playing. We just returned from vacation and she played the updated version for the first time and she is distraught. She feels like it's not even the same game anymore and says she never wants to play again. To share some perspective, my daughter is neurodivergent. Playing Starri offered her the opportunity to release some energy and help her regulate. I am sure we're not alone in being the only household of neurodivergent kiddos who enjoyed the original game. Change is often very hard for neurodivergent kids, as well -- it would be awesome if you could offer access to the former version for those kids who relied on it.

Starri 2.0 makes my daughter cries
Last night, my 8 year old daughter cried her eye out after she noticed that the game was updated and it looked like a whole new game and she found it’s too hard to enjoy unlike the original version. She’s also sad because she loved all the characters, costume changing system, and graphic. I hope there’s an option to choose between the original and updated one or maybe bring the original back and just some update.

I am a 11 year old, I asked for this nex playground for months and months specifically for starri and when I finally got it, I only got to enjoy it for a week and a half. I went to play starri one day and it said “new stage and avatars” I thought oh, cool. then when I got into starri, the new update was not something you could just turn on and off, And it wasent just new stage and new avatars, it was a completely different game. I went into my room and cried, then burried myself in blankets and pillows. Please bring the old game back.

Starri 2.0 Accessibility Impact: How the update stripped away a vital developmental therapy tool
Dear Nex Executive and Development Teams, I am writing to provide a comprehensive explanation of how the Starri 2.0 update has fundamentally broken the core utility of your product for my family. You did not just update a video game; you replaced a predictable, structured therapeutic environment with a chaotic, overstimulating product that my daughter can no longer play. I am here advocating, not for a certain type of game play, but for accessibility. Before this update, Starri was a vital oasis from screen-time overstimulation. For sensitive and neurodivergent children, the clean interface and bilateral physical movement forced the left and right hemispheres of the brain to work together. It served as profound cognitive therapy. For my daughter, who is overwhelmed by loud environments and crowds, who gets physically sick after social functions, this game was regulatory. Now it’s the opposite. She actually gets physically sick from all of the flashing and distracting graphics. Musically, she sometimes struggled with intonation because of cognitive overload. She achieved perfect rhythm and nearly perfect intonation entirely because of the original Starri. It was a safe space for her sensory regulation. Now, it is just a chaotic game filled with flashing animations, intrusive dialogue, and tracking issues that trigger overstimulation. You cannot "adjust" to sensory overload. Asking a child who relied on your app for regulation to just "get used to" a loud, unpredictable environment is simply not possible. We invested in your hardware and we maintain our subscription because of what the game was. We urgently ask that you implement a Starri 1.0 Legacy Mode toggle, as a necessary accessibility feature, (or simply bring back as a separate game), so that the children and families who rely on this game for development and therapy can have their safe space back. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing how you plan to accommodate your core users with these accessibility issues. Sincerely, Marisa

I’m back again with more complaints about Starri 2.0. Now, of course, I understand that games need updates so that people keep playing them, but this update will make people not want to play it! My whole entire family is devastated! Please change it.

Starri 2.0 - Solution
Please add an update to go back to the original Starri, in the interim, and then your team can make your tweaks and changes and create a new update for the future. With all of the upsets and comments all over the internet on this forum, Reddit’s, and social media, keeping customers happy is the main priority. Customer success relationship is key. Listening to your customers is the best way to grow. A focus group in many states and age ranges would be best before you roll out a new update for a game, as I’m sure you know. You are welcome contact me if you would like honest feedback on your games. I’d be more than happy to help. Thank you for listening.

Starri 2.0 complaints
Hi, I’m a young user of the Nex Playground. My little brother and I spent our own money to buy the Nex Playground, primarily for Starri. Starri 2.0 is glitchier, harder to see, worse skin and background options, and just less fun in general! We strongly prefer the old version of Starri! This new update makes my family not want to use it! Please take my email into consideration.

Bring back original Starri option!
The original Starri was special, unique, and the reason my family bought Nex playground. The 2.0 version ruined the game. The gameplay is clunky and visually it looks cheap. My two kids are so disappointed, and none of us have played Starri since the update. We may end up cancelling our monthly subscription since this was their favorite game by far. Please bring back original Starri as an option!

Starri 2.0 Lagging
We are missing 1.0! I know you guys worked so hard to make a more modern experience, but the classic was just so good! The biggest problem we have is the lag between when we move and the dots move. Any way to fix that? We have messed around with settings and it’s slightly better, but it has become really frustrating!

Change Starri back
This game is the entire reason I pay for Nex. The other games are essentially perks and Starri is my sole interest. The game update as of roughly 8/26/26 has ruined the game. The songs that were removed are disappointing but understandable. Contracts end, prices change, whatever, music isn't free we get it. BUT the overhaul from great game UI to whatever this garbage can kindergarten interface is I'm like actually distraught. I've never been more disappointed or dissatisfied In my entire life. I'm actually heart broken. Something I genuinely loved just died and I'm grieving. If it can be revived, you'll have a life long customer. If not, we're done. You're choice.

New Starri Update
Hi Nex Playground team! Our family very disappointed with the Starri update. The graphics are confusing and overstimulating. Starri was one of the only reasons my family loved Playground. We have tried changing the settings, and the game isn’t the same. The AI chatbot provided suggestions, and none of them worked. Please bring back the old Starri!

Upgrade for adults
Need to add games like a dungeon crawler for older kids and adults. This game system has alot of potential. Don't waste it on all baby games. Make a section for 18+ all blood and gore. Try one game and if you dont hit a million downloads in a month kill it, but i guarantee you it will be a major hit. It could even replicate the original doom series on pc.
