Starri 2.0: Our Update Plan

See CEO David’s post about Starri 2.0 on Reddit or Facebook.

Mandatory post-game tally/leaderboard breaks flow - especially for new players

We were really looking forward to this game, but after about 5 runs we just couldn’t sit through the post game tally and leaderboard stuff anymore. Our rounds were super short because we hadn’t got the hang of it yet. When we hit Game Over we just wanted to jump straight back in to keep figuring it out - it’s a high energy game for us, and we wanted to keep the level up - but the post game stuff just broke our flow. On the first round we obviously just mashed “AAA” and kept going, but the next rounds’ tally etc was not much shorter. When the early runs are so short, the post-run sequence is painfully slow. I feel like we’re just missing an obvious SKIP button, but we couldn’t find one. So we just moved on to other games that were less frustrating.

Jump & Squat Counter

Let’s add a counter for each squat and jump. Since the NEX games are focused on being active this seems like it would be a relevant addition, even if it is not tied to any achievements or goals, initially. Let me know if you want me to help with UAT.

Ideas

More playable characters It would be amazing if characters like Master Splinter, April O’Neil, or Casey Jones could be unlocked and played. More bosses and mini-bosses Fights against villains like Shredder or Krang would be incredible. Even smaller mini-boss (Leatherhead, etc.) fights throughout levels would add variety. A 4-player mode Being able to have all four turtles (or characters in general) played at once would make this game even more fun for families and groups. A real campaign mode A longer story progression with stages would give players something bigger to work through. Achievements and progression challenges Things like defeating a certain number of enemies, completing levels with perfect moves, or special skill challenges would add long-term goals. New maps Locations like the Technodrome, TCRI building, or the sewers would be awesome environments to battle in. Vehicles and powerups Imagine temporary powerups where the Turtle Van, Battle Shell, or Turtle Blimp shows up. More Foot Soldiers with better combat It would be cool if they fought back, had different attack types, or appeared in larger waves. Environmental elements Things like mutagen ooze hazards or power boosts could add another layer to the gameplay.

New bosses, new levels

My son is begging for new levels and big bosses on TMNT. I would like to see Shredder and Krang!

Accessibility options - jump/squat replacement ideas

I'd like to see an option that replaces the jumping and squatting motion with both hands up and both hands down quickly to substitute the actual physical motions of jumping and squatting.

Shop

After you get to level 10, collected XP is now converted to coins, which can be used in the shop to give turtles more health, attack, and other boosts.

Bug

On two different occasions after beating the boss twice. In two player mode on player gets stuck in a gap while the other continues on out of the picture until the game Times out and stops

TMNT options

Would love to see a difficulty option level for the younger players. Also to see what levels the characters are on and the ability to get/charge character specific power up’s throughout the game. Skill level page on Home Screen.

Show TMNT Levels

I would like to know what level the turtles are from the ‘select players’ screen, instead of waiting for the end of the run
