Starri 2.0: Our Update Plan
Creature filter
Scans room to find depths and make little creatures appear and you have to find them all, to collect a creature you need to do what the bubble over its head says there are multiple premade bubbles like jumping and clapping(stuff like that) that will be randomly selected for each creature that spawns , there should be rare creatures for kids to get more exited about seeing one. Or maybe make it a new AR game entirely
Ability to block games
I would like the ability to block or limit games with screen time. My kids would let Mirrorama run all day if they could and I’d like them to give more time to other games.
More filters
Rain mode, perhaps each person gets a raincloud over their heads, can open and close an umbrella. Beach ball, bounces around the screen and players can bat it to each other. Paint roller, can paint the screen.
Remember "Flow"?
I saw today, on Facebook, someone suggested an underwater game. Swimming your way through a world of fantastic creatures. It brought to mind the world's created by the team who made "Journey". One of their point-free games was "Flow" where the player is the wind and flowers bloom as you sail past. These games could easily motivate movement in a game that is without winners and losers. Bringing a prairie landscape the blooms of spring is an accomplishment. Thanks for all you do.
Halloween, Spooky, or Autumn filters
We’d love to put Nex outside connected to a projector for Trick or Treating and I bet neighborhood kids would go crazy for that!
More interactivity with the remote please
I enjoyed finding out that you can control the kaleidoscope effect by pressing up and down on the remote. It would be awesome to see more interactivity with the other modes when up or down is pressed. This could be options like change of color or scene, or even adjust the effect of distortions.
animal filters
My kids would love animal filters! Their favorite filters are the dog and cat ones. Can be different types of dogs and cats and can stick their tongue out to lick. Could extend to other types of wildlife too. Could also have the cat do something like chase a yarn ball! My kids would play with that nonstop!
Neon Mirrorama is own drumming dance game
I would love to see an active movement and drumming game using that neon video overlay from mirrorama. It immediately made me think about a Blue Man group presentation like the one here: https://youtu.be/wENtnlkLbX4?si=ik1rlgbf9ouUBXt1 Having a dance/drumming theme would be great. They would be a cool partnership too, but even a generic game with some editable or changing synth drums and 80s music or hip hop etc, combining spins and drops and (the favorite of all nex children based on the videos) wild arm flailing dance moves to play the different drums. Blue man group also likes using lit drums with water and paint that explode of the surface when they're played. A great extra flashy visual.
More options
Here’s some ideas… I feel like the opportunities are endless! ⬇️Upside-Down Mode – Flips the entire screen, making everything appear inverted. 🤖 Pixelation – Makes the screen and characters look like an 8-bit video game. 🌈 Rainbow Trail – Adds a colorful trail behind moving people. 🐷 Animal Faces – Overlays different animal snouts and ears on faces. 🦸♀️Superhero Glow – Adds a glowing aura and comic-style action effects (like “Pow!” or “Zap!”). 🌊 Underwater Effect – Wavy distortion and bubbles to simulate being underwater. 🪐Space Mode – Stars and planets float around like you’re in space. ✍️Doodle Overlay – Lets kids “draw” on themselves with digital markers.
