Training mode

I would love a training mode, similar to the one on the console version of Dance Dance Revolution. Players could select a song and adjust the speed, start, and end section of the song they want to practice. There was an option for "assist" settings where you could turn on an audible clap sound that played for each step you needed to do - helpful if you need to learn the specific rhythm of certain sequences. I can't recall if you had the ability to review a song after you practiced it to see the timing of your steps vs when they should have happened - that would be a great way to see specifically which notes you were either early/late or missed.
My current workaround is to take a video of a playthrough of a specific song, then use a video editor to select the desired portion of the song and adjust the playback speed to learn the slash sequence.

Hi Mike!
Great idea! Seeing as my oldest loves Starri we have spent a lot of time on this specific game! I thought I’d share a workaround we’ve figured out!
In the settings for Starri you can actually increase or decrease the speed the notes travel at, the distance between them, and also the “visibility” distance of approaching notes! My oldest tried some expert songs on x3 speed of the normal speed and she LOVED it! So much so that when we turned it back to x1 or normal speed she complained it was “too slow” for her.
However being able to practice a specific portion of the song I don’t think is possible yet!
Hopefully this helps make gameplay easier for you!

Jonathan S Hi Jonathan! I've played around with the note speed and distance, mainly for recording purposes to then be able to slow down video playback to review how a specific sequence goes. The best thing in the DDR training mode is the ability to actually slow down the song itself - something that currently can't be done in Starri.
For the tougher Starri slash songs in Expert, I turned down the music volume and increased the SFX volume in order to get down the timing of quick/crowded notes. This helped in learning the proper rhythm for the various moves.
