Minimap with player positions

Sometimes, it would be nice to know if I've got a lead on the opponents behind me, or if they're right behind. The closest one gets is the occasional visual indicator of where the other players are in the level.
Admittedly, in many games, this might reveal the background rubber-banding (AI players suddenly getting jumped ahead so that it stays competitive) except that the game doesn't seem to actually do much rubber-banding, with enemies often staying far behind you once you achieve a lead.
