Suggestion… please put the remote buttons on the cube itself. Lost? Use the cube buttons. Forgot it? Use the cube buttons. One less critical thing to pack or forget. Except for a few games, we’re already standing a good chunk of the time anyway. It may Also use less batteries if not using a remote.
Or maybe shape it the same as the cube (flat square) so that it can be magnetized on for those who just want to stick it together to avoid losing it, but still look seamless. Maybe the remote could magnetically charge while attached, less battery changing.

We have good news!
We’ve quietly launched a beta Nex Playground Remote App on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the US and Canada. It can help when your remote is missing, broken, or when you’re traveling and forgot it at home.
This is not intended to replace your physical Nex Playground Remote. Dedicated hardware provides a more seamless experience, especially for kids. If you can’t find your remote, we still recommend ordering a replacement from our website.
