Hi there,
Firstly, I love the Box Flow game and use it almost daily myself and with my kids. As a Physical Therapist, this kind of game is imperative for all ages and styles of training. I have used this with clients and patients and have had great improvements with their functional skills. Some of these improved skills include but are not limited to: reaction time, motor planning, hand-eye coordination, muscle contraction speed and force, problem solving, managing dual tasks or multiple tasks happening at different speeds, incorporating upper body and lower body tasks simultaneously or in close proximity of time and so much more.
It would be great if we can add more training modes in order to sharpen some of the aforementioned skills and so much more:
  • A mode where only 1 arm (either a blue or red ball) would be present for the session to improve skills on one side.
  • A mode where there are only obstacles to avoid (slips, ducks, rolls).
  • Shortening the time from when the ball or obstacle appears to when it is supposed to be hit or avoided. Seeing the object from far away and having so much time until it enters a window of being engaged is missing out on the ability to improve reaction time and problem solving with a physical response. This suggestion is very different than the
High" mode option in the game which just adds more items to hit or avoid. Shortening the time can be an option that can be added in "Low" mode and will improve one's response time from the moment they notice the ball/stick to the time it takes them to respond.
  • Adding a 3rd or 4th player option.
I strongly believe that adding these 3 additional training options would be of great benefit to anyone utilizing this game for improved physical abilities. And they feed off options that essentially live in the game already so implementing should be straightforward. Thank you for your time and consideration.
