Tracking improvememts

It was bearable before Starri 2.0, but now I think it's worse.

I'm talking about having my young kids (3, 5 and 7) standing 5-7 feet in front of the TV to get the camera to pick and track their movements. Prior to the latest update, the system would read them at 7-9 feet, but it's a no go post update.

I grew up with the understanding prolonged screen viewing and close viewing is going to increase the likelihood children will be nearsighted and need glasses. I also understand there is a genetic disposition for this, but I'm talking about things that we can control for our kids.

I'm thinking the camera is the key here, ie using a long cable to put the system further in front of the table. Beyond that, are there software or camera things that can leave kids further away from the screen. Also some games allow for a camera reset, wonder if this could be implemented as a system wide setting.
