Pokemon Go

Our family loves the game, but the ‘go’ part is challenging during busy weekdays. I would like my kids to play Pokemon go (or a version of) while I go sit on the couch.

Pokemon battles could be dance parties with dance moves based on the type of Pokemon they are playing. There could be story mode and battle mode.

The Nintendo ringfit adventure has been a hit in our house. The battles are different exercises with an included Pilates ring and different yoga poses.

If pokemon, specifically, is too difficult for licensing, it could just be cute (and ridiculous) animals that you catch with different methods. Throwing a net, casting a fishing rod, setting a live trap. Evolving an animal could just be life cycle stages or something else more creative than I can come up with.

Arizona State University produces the program ‘March Mammal Madness’ every year that would be fun to see a collab with. Kids have to learn about all the animals that are listed (not just mammals) and learn about the different habitats and their strengths and weaknesses and create a bracket from there. All through the month they battle and read results for the battles.
