Opt out of holiday themes

I would love to be able to opt out of the halloween and other holiday features features. I was really excited to get the nex playground as my kid loved it at their friends house. However, My family does not celebrate and it seems that they pushed halloween themes into many of the games she was looking forward to playing. Its really disappointing that theres no way to turn it off. Honestly it makes me contemplate returning the whole console if this is a reccuring thing that several games become unplayable during holidays for us.
