Indoor Scavenger Hunt

Benefits:

- Get them moving around the house! Not just in front of the screen

- Learn the name/spelling of basic items you can find at home

- Can be a "co-op" game to encourage team work, i.e. two kids go look for something will be faster!

Game Play:

- Ideally a character that is cute who needs your help.

- It will ask you to help find something (make up a story why that "thing" is so important right now)

- Give you a countdown timer (the kids run off to find that thing in a frenzy)

- Now go find that thing!

- Bring it back and the character will "see" whether this is the right thing and say "Good Job!" or "Thank you so much!"

- You keep helping the character to find more "things" and earn different badges like boy/girl scouts, or you can have a local leaderboard to see who has the best time record.

Typical Items:

- Color, e.g. something RED

- Book

- Shoe

- Ball

- Stuffy or doll
