I strongly believe religion has no place on NEX. If NEX wanted religious material, they would have started with them or as they were just growing in their early stages. I believe they want to make this product appeal to as wide of an audience as possible without excluding anyone. They take great pride in maintaining their family friendly image for everyone. I would hate to see them start allowing religious material as that would then cause separation and isolation from the other religions who are not represented on NEX. I understand this isn't what you want to hear, but y'all need to understand NEX is more than just for you, its for everyone, and I'd like to keep that same open welcoming space for all. If you still disagree with this and insist on religion to be allowed on NEX, don't get upset when other religions also want their representation as well. It'd be best not go down that rabbit hole all together and let NEX keep doing what its doing in being that welcoming space for all, and not just for some.

I disagree with this idea. As a parent, it's up to me when it is my children get introduced to religion. I don't believe my kids are old enough for this, and I don't want them stumbling upon it just because it's on the system. Religious affiliated programming has no business on a platform that is meant to be for everyone, because not everyone believes in your religion.

Brendan Suminski I agree with you 100%. Even as a Christian, I recognize that there are so many different sects of Christianity for a reason - they don’t all agree with one another. So which translation of the scriptures would be used? And how would Nex deal with complaints from other sects? What about Judaism - will it get a “game”? Islam? Hinduism?
If people want to find an age appropriate way to teach their kids religion, I strongly suggest not leaving it up to a video game and instead fellowship at a local house of worship. Many have kid programs that run concurrently with services.

Considering how many sects of Christianity and translations of the Bible there are, this would backfire among non-Christians and the Christians not represented. You’re better off finding a local Church with a childern’s program to serve your needs.

Tiffanyof course people can “just not play it.” However these games take real people’s time and energy to build. They also cost money to make. Making a feature that is intended for a very small population and telling others “just don’t play it” is just a waste. Go to Church. Fellowship. Plug your kids in there. Its way more effective & social than demanding a gamefied version.

love this idea. I think they should have Christian games and Christian scriptures and way for kids to learn the Bible and have fun I’m all for it. Great idea and for the parents who don’t want their kids to learn about religion don’t let them play the religion game it that’s simple it’s just like if you didn’t want your kid to listen to succulent music or music with profanity you’re not gonna let them listen to it. You’re not gonna play it on the radio. You’re not gonna let them watch the video it’s out there, but that doesn’t mean they have to engaged in it

China Monroe I bought the NEX so I didn’t have to monitor what my kids were playing. I don’t need another thing to police just because Christians need to insert their beliefs into everything.

Not a good idea. Beliefs such as religions are too personal and will also induce other cultures to demand similar games. Nex should be agonistic.

While we're at it why not add others as well! Children should learn about other religious books such as the Tripitaka, Quran, Vedas, Tanakh, etc. No? Maybe we should keep religion out of NEX so we can all have fun regardless of our beliefs.

Absolutely no. Saying this as someone that grew up Catholic and Protestant - You do not need to insert your Christianity in to every space. If you're in the USA, I'm sure there are many churches within a five mile radius from you.

I have a lot of trauma associated with Christianity. I am Indigenous Siberian and I was severely traumatized by Christian cartoons in the 90s in Russia to the point of attempting to end my life as a 5-7 year old child on multiple occasions.
Most people of my ethnicity, Sakha, have Orthodox Christian names and last names as it was forced on us by Russian colonizers.
