Partner with Weird Al to create this instant classic! This will definitely propel the accordion video game genre, just like Tony Hawk did with skateboarding. Imagine playing the air guitar, erm accordion, to polka hits like: 'Clarinet Polka', 'Hey, Hey Farmer Gray', and 'Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Ay!' Oh yeah, there may also be a couple Weird Al songs in there too, just so that this game can help him reach a wider audience and get him to become the household name he deserves to be!
The game will be played like a perfect blend of Starri and Guitar Hero. Your left and right hands will have 3 (4, or even 5) target areas each. These targets will be stacked vertically, and be color coded. Each hand will stay on their respective side of the screen. When you see a colored target appear on the left, you move your hand in the appropriate target zone before it hits to get points. Hands must be in the target area before the note reaches the trigger spot. A little different than Starri, but instead mimics the gameplay of guitar hero.
Ok, so we're moving hands up and down like starri catch, but the notes are coming out from the center. Why accordion? Well . . . why not? why not something with Weird Al? Why not introduce a motion to move your hands in and out from the center as if you're rocking a virtual squeezebox? Accordion Hero isn't accordion hero, without playing an accordion! Throughout the whole song, you will be pumping virtual air into your imaginary instrument while simultaneously keep your hands within the certain targets. I don't see any strict measuring system in place for how well you can squeeze your accordion. In fact, I see it as a way to control your accordion's volume. More rapid motions, the louder it plays. The slower your hand motions, the softer. As long as you make a motion with your hand(s) in the appropriate spot when the target hits, you're good.
Let's get weird, y'all!
